Denton Farm Park, March, 2003 Trip Report
Denton Farm Park, Denton, NC

Our March 2003 campout was a lot of fun! We enjoyed exploring all the buildings and seeing the steam tractors. Saturday was busy--many of us visited Morrow Mountain State Park and drove through the town of Badin, then had lunch in Albemarle. (I went shopping after lunch at the K-mart that was going out of business.)

We had our meeting and dinner Saturday night at the Classic restaurant, then Julie taught us line dances. The broom dance was the most fun I think, everyone was laughing! Afterwards we played a game or two of dominoes, but it was getting cold and late so we soon turned in.

Summary: A great place to hold a rally! Thousands of people visit here during the Old Thresher's Reunion July 4th. Water and electric hookups only (there's a dump station for sewer), with clean bath-houses. We'll probably return!                    -Amy
