Before dawn the next morning we packed down the camper and left for Orlando. We were very excited when we began seeing more and more Disney signs, and cheered when we finally arrived on Walt Disney World property. We drove through the gates to the Magic Kingdom (you go through the far right gate to get to Fort Wilderness) and headed on to the campground.

We arrived at Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground around 11 am. That is before the stated check-in time, but our site was already ready for us. The drive-through registration went smoothly, we got our maps, brochures, and resort ID cards and headed to our site.

We found our site, in the 600 loop, and began the process of backing in. The road was very narrow and it was a tight squeeze! Luckily, the guy in the site across the street was home--he moved his car from in front of his motorhome to give us more maneuvering room. He said he couldn't get into our site and they had moved him to another one.
